A Prayer Wall in the Hinku valley. It is made of stone panels with carved character. The characters depict the mantra ‘Om mani padme hum’. ‘Hail to the jewel in the lotus’ I. e. the Buddha. In the background is a massive landslip which gives some indication of the devastation caused when the moraine holding back the Sabi Tsho lake collapsed in 1998 and the Hinku valley was inundated with water and debris.
