Ice107.jpg

One of the many glaciers descending from the Vatnajokull icecap. Taken from the summit of Snaefell. The icecap can be seen in the background. The melt water from these glaciers forms the many rivers which scour the black volcanic landscape and contribute to the huge waterfalls near the north coast of Iceland. South East Iceland. July 2000.
