A battered Two Tailed Pasha (Charaxes jasius) butterfly feeds on a foxtail lilly (Eremurus robustus). A large brightly coloured butterfly has a broken wing so the top of the opposite wing can be seen. The flower appears as a spike on a two metre stem appearing from the dry baked ground in late summer. Carla Gonone, Dorgali, Sardinia, 27 September 2004.
