A fly feeding on nectar in hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium) flower, pollinating the flowers as it does so. The fly looks like a bee and this mimicry provides protection. The fly's mouthparts are clearly visible. Bedgebury Forest, Kent, UK. 17 July 2004.
