Pool formed by melting in the summer heat on the Inylchek glacier. Pools and ponds like this are common and transitory during the summer. As the temperature rises the pools form, sometimes too much ice melts or the pressure becomes too great and the water escapes under the glacier. Tien Shan Mountains. Kyrgyzstan. July 2002.
