A very varied pair of harlequin ladybird (Harmonia axyridis) mating. The male is of the variety succinea and the black and red female spectabilis. There is an explosion of the population of these insects in the UK ands they are being seen as a pest. Bedgebury Forest, Kent, UK. 28 June 2009.
