Representation of the immortal Garuda painted in traditional Bhutanese style on the wall of a house. Garuda has the head, wings and lower body of a bird and the torso of a man. Garuda is the enemy of snakes and Nagas and they are usually seen grasped in his beak or claws. Also known as Bjachung, the devourer, Lord of Birds.
