A fine large specimen of a Toad Grasshopper (Family:Pamphagidae). The insect's 'ear', the tympanum, can be clearly seen on as a flat disc on the first segment next to the thorax. THe insect is ona woman's hand so its size can been seen. Cape Columbine Nature Reserve at Tietiesbaai. Paternoster, Western Cape, Republic of South Africa. 14 November 2006.
