An eighteenth century cast iron cannon stands by the ganite walls of a battery in the Garrison near Hugh Town. It was positioned in about 1750 to protect St Mary's harbour from Sapnish and other potential invaders. St Mary's, Isles of Scilly, UK. 16 September 2006.
